Who says you can’t retro-actively update your blogs!  Especially if you didn’t have a blog back then!

The purpose for doing this is to thank Lauren O’Niell and all the great people at Keplers Bookstore in Menlo Park, Ca, for inviting me to read “The Castaway Pirates” in celebration of “Talk Like A Pirate Day.”  It was an amazing event where lots of kids came dressed like pirates and got into the whole pirate speak thing with me.  I dragged along my pirate chest from our YouTube video and pulled out piratical props as the event went along.   After the reading we made challenging Castaway Pirates pop-ups to color, and Lauren gave away pirate hats.

Keplers is one of the great independent bookstores!  Please continue to support them!
