Pop-Up Workshop in Oakland

This past weekend I conducted a pop-up workshop at MOCHA, the cool children’s art museum here in Oakland.  This is always a fun event.  Families drop by and we make one of the pre-designed pop-ups that I’ve taken along, or go out on a limb and make someone’s suggestion that we create on the spot.  With the pop-ups I take along I provide pre-printed sheets that can be decorated and then cut out and assembled.  With original ideas I show people how to make some of the simpler pop-up mechanics and then we add other components from there.  This weekend we focused on the flower pop-ups that you can download here, as well as custom unicorns, cats and dogs, flying rainbows, and jumping goldfish!  Thanks to everyone that showed up!
