I was honored to attend a luncheon yesterday hosted by the San Francisco Child Care Planning and Advisory Committee to celebrate the work of the local teachers and care givers of children up to 5 years old. The reason for my […]
I wish I could adequately convey how enthusiastic the people here in Taiwan are about pop-ups! Two of the largest private collections of pop-up books are here, one of which forms the basis of BOTH (!) exhibitions being held in the two cities, Taichung and Kaohsiung. Yesterday Marion and I presented our second talk, this […]
Just recently myself and other Meggendorfer Prize winners received an invitation to speak and show examples of our work at an exhibition of pop-up books in Taiwan in the New Year. Needless to say I feel very honored to be invited and excited to go! […]
I was very honored, and completely surprised (!) to hear last night that Paper Blossoms was awarded the Meggendorfer Award for best pop-up book of the past two year by The Moveable Book Society. I designed and produced 800 “Token of Appreciations” for Benefit’s “Glamouriety” evening recently held at Bimbo’s 365 club in San Francisco. This extremely glamourous event was held for Benefit’s global counter managers to launch a […]

I’ve been working on a number of new projects but I don’t want to jinx them by talking about them in detail yet. I’ve just completed a corporate pop-up for a launch party that happened […]
I’ve added this new downloadable Sinister Witch pop-up to my “Things To Make” page. Mix in some ghoulish light to bring out her finer points. Or even better, conjure up some other scary creatures by tracing the sheets and creating new features and shapes. I hope they’re a howling success my dears! Cackle, cackle!
I feel honored to again be asked to produce the award for the 2012 Otter Gala held here in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is an annual event hosted by the Northern California Children’s Booksellers’ Association in recognition of people who have made a significant contribution towards children’s literature in Northern California during the […]
